AREMT-UK mission statement:
- To support the provision of an internationally
recognised registry of certified EMTs underpinned by current UK and
international EMT qualifications and guidelines.
- To support the recognition of Industrial, Private,
Voluntary and Ambulatory EMTs working in all fields of pre-hospital
care
- To support the establishment of AREMT-UK Regional Training Centres throughout the UK
We are affiliated to the following bodies
The ECSI is an educational organisation
created for the purpose of delivering the highest quality
training to laypersons and professionals in the areas of First
Aid, CPR, AED, Blood borne Pathogens, and related safety and
health areas. The content of the training materials used by the
ECSI is approved by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
(AAOS) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) —
two of the most respected names in injury, illness, and
emergency medical care. The American Academy of Continuing Medical
Education (AACME) has served as the international predominant
standards-setting and accrediting body for continuing medical
education for over 10 years in over 96 countries worldwide,
providing the highest level quality accreditation for nearly
16,000 member governmental and non-governmental hospitals, 5120
medical schools, 1300 medical specialty societies and state
medical associations.
ACEP was
founded in 1968 and is the world's oldest and largest emergency
medicine specialty organization. Today it represents more than
22,000 members. As the acknowledged leader in emergency
medicine, ACEP exists to advocate on behalf of emergency
physicians and promote the highest standards of patient care.
