Why should I register with AREMT-UK?

By having a unified system of tracking and recording nationally and internationally trained EMTs, this will enhance the level of professionalism and recognition of EMTs throughout UK. AREMT-UK registration will also gain recognition of UK EMT's with other international EMS organisations.

AREMT-UK has links with the following countries who have all joined the AREMT system of accreditation.

Personal Registration

Initial registration requirements:

Applicants must have completed an AREMT-UK approved training programme at the appropriate EMT level. Please attach a copy of your course completion certificate to your application form.
If your initial EMT training programme is more than two (2) years old, you must document completion of an approved EMT refresher training programme within the previous 12 months together with evidence of CPD.
Annual registration fee of £50.00 for all grades

Annual re-registration requirements:

Re-registration annually after completion of annual refresher training and evidence of CPD at the appropriate EMT level. £50.00 inclusive.

Corporate Registration

Initial registration requirements:

75% of staff AREMT-UK certified and registered (HPC & NMC exempted)
Accept AREMT staff at grade certified
Promote AREMT-UK to customers
Inform AREMT-UK of any medical malpractice incidents involving a registered EMT
Annual Registration fee of £150.00
